Mihaela
Usually I describe myself through the things I do. And that is because I am a very active person, always with something planned. I am a Google lover (if not freak) and Google Calendar helps me succeed in my agitated life, in which nearly every day is scheduled. I’m daring and enthusiastic because I put passion in everything I do. I’m a “night bird” because I work, learn and I am more active at night (I don’t have an owl on my house in vain:P). And I am what I write on this blog.
What is maybe ironic is that I like spontaneity, I like crazy things, I sometimes like taking decisions without thinking about the consequences and I love surprises. I like smiling – friends often associate me with a flower – no matter if a dandelion or sunflower, it’s a smiling one. Also, I like dancing. And I like people – to be surrounded by them, to listen to them and analyze them. I cherish friendship.
I know how to keep a balance between the serious things and the fun ones. Although I tend to joke most of the times and bring a bit of cheerfulness in everything, I know when to treat things seriously, so that their result is positive.
As much as I’m afraid to become an adult, responsible of paying contributions and taxes, I wish to find my place in the world, to find that place where I can work out of pleasure, not obligation, so that money can step on the second place. The thought of becoming an employee with fixed schedule frightens me, but I consider that I need it. And I wish to work with competent people, if not even experts on their field, whom I can truly learn from.
I dream to become an entrepreneur. But first, I want to find a team together with whom to do this, because I strongly believe that people are the most important resource, without which nothing can work. And first go through the experience of being full-time employee, so that I will be able to appreciate entrepreneurship at its true value.
I appreciate professionalism and that is why I continuously fight to improve myself. I believe in non-formal education and I use it both for learning and forwarding information.

ME IN 3 WORDS
Honest – many people “accuse” me of a harsh way of communicating, of the fact that I am sometimes directive or too brutal when expressing myself. I realized over the time that I can transform this into an advantage: if you want the truth as it is, you can trustfully come to me.
Organized – I like doing things right and for that I cannot see any other solution but having everything nicely organized.
Resourceful – I have been put over the time in very different situations and I always managed to find a solution (and not compromises). And no, I don’t embrace the principle which says that the end justifies the means.

FORMAL STUDIES
I am currently taking the Corporate Communication Master’s Degree from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies in Bucharest, where I learn about employees and motivating them, creating a strategy, analyzing the organizational culture and using it in efficient communication, online promotion and its importance. Not all objects of study are greatly presented, but the subjects themselves are interesting and for me they represent a point to start from in individual study.
I took my Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising at the same Faculty, where I learned about branding, copyright, consumer’s behavior, strategy and argumentation. Also, during the 3 years of study, I learned almost everything about the basics of writing press materials and the work of a PR representative.
I graduated The National College “Mircea cel Batran” from Rm. Valcea (my hometown), Bilingual – English Profile. Since then I have the “imperfection” of using English when talking. It’s part of me, as you can see :)

NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
In highschool I took theatre and scenic demonstration classes. Theatre is very dear to me, but unfortunately I have no time to take care of it anymore.
Over the time I have participated in trainings covering a large area of competences: leadership, time management, emotional intelligence, selling and negotiation, fundraising, project management, human rights, new media, field reporters, communication, public speaking.
In 2008 I obtained my trainer diploma, accredited by CNFPA, after a training of trainers course. For me, it was one of the most beautiful experiences.
I am involved in the communities of practices HRemotion, New Media School si Trainers’ Social Network.
Since 2006 I am a member of The Association of Students in Journalism and Communication (ASJC) – YouthPress Romania, which represented the most valuable learning experience from all points of view.
